Owing to the economic crisis, major tech branding event is postponed.

The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications has decided to postpone a major branding event for the industry of information technology and technology due to the current state of the economy as well as budgetary constraints.

Expo Centre Lahore was going to play host to the Tech Spring Pakistan convention on the 16th through the 18th of March in 2023.

According to information provided to ProPakistani by our sources, the registration of companies for the event has also been halted, and the entire event will now take place at a later date.

Telecom Companies Warn the Government of Decreasing Service Quality Officials from the IT Ministry have announced that Tech Spring 2023 will be delayed as a result of the current financial crisis. Authorities have stated that the event will not take place due to the fact that ITCN Asia 2023 is beginning today as well as Ramadan. In the month of February, the Ministry of IT and Telecom's primary focus was on ensuring the success of ITCN Asia 2023. As a result, the Tech Spring 2023 conference has been moved to a later date, which will be determined once Ramadan is over.

The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications had in the past intended to host a three-day major event at the Expo Centre in Lahore in the month of March 2023. The Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEP) and the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) were in charge of making the necessary preparations for this occasion. Registration for the event had already begun, and organisers anticipated having more than two hundred representatives from other countries in attendance.

The event was scheduled to take place from March 16th to March 18th at the Exhibition Center in Lahore, which the Ministry of IT and Communication had reserved all three floors for. Each of the three rooms was subdivided into various sections for events, including those pertaining to start-up booths, e-commerce, finance, artificial intelligence, cyber security, blockchain, the internet of things, and more. Today, the organisation that was organising the event has informed the exhibition centre that the booking for the Halls should be cancelled.

The Pakistani information technology and telecommunications industry were intended to be promoted through the big event. It is a hub of more than 600,000 IT professionals, 25,000 IT graduates and Engineers per year, and 231 universities that are recognised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). Pakistan has a tremendous amount of untapped potential due to the fact that its freelancing market is the second fastest-growing in the world.

According to our sources, the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) is experiencing difficulties with its budget. As the government has not yet released the PSEB's budget, the PSEB has been forced to halt its work on a number of significant projects. The delayed start of Tech Spring 2023 is another link in the same chain of unfortunate events.
