Microsoft will soon complete revamp Teams with significant upgrades

The next version of Microsoft Teams will soon be available, and it will feature a fully redesigned user interface in addition to other updates and enhancements.

It will be constructed from the bottom up to enhance its system resource utilization and a number of other aspects. Internally, it will be known as Teams 2.1. The new version is currently undergoing extensive testing across the corporation, and there are plans to roll it out in March, according to sources who are familiar with the situation.

It has been stated that the software giant has been working on the new Teams client for several years. The end result should be a reduction in memory consumption of fifty percent as well as a reduction in the load placed on the central processing unit, which should greatly enhance the battery life of laptops.

Some of this experience was already pre-installed for customers who were running Windows 11, but businesses who use Teams have been utilizing earlier versions because it takes a significant amount of time to rebuild the full client.

With this update, the Teams app will transition away from the Electron framework and instead make use of the cutting-edge Webview2 technology that is included in Microsoft Edge. In addition, the company will migrate to a JavaScript library known as React, which will provide additional UI enhancements over the course of the next months.

.

Rish Tandon, who had previously served as the chief of engineering for Microsoft Team, discussed the preliminary enhancements that were going to be made to the application in the year 2021. According to him, the redesigned architecture of Teams will play an essential role in the subsequent enhancements.

We will be able to add support for numerous accounts, and work-life situations, release predictability, and scale up for the client with the assistance of this design. Although we still have a long way to go, we have made significant progress with Windows 11.

Teams should open more quickly and seem more responsive now that the upgrades are set to be rolled out soon. This should be the case whether you're presenting in meetings or replying to communications. A sneak peek of the brand-new software is scheduled to be made available for download by the end of March, which indicates that the full launch will take place at a later date.
